Below you will find the information about our membership fees and requirements.
Each player in our Chapter requires a membership to participate in any events. These fees go towards things we need such as boffer weapons, costumes props and other things like insurance for our events.
Our Membership fees are as follows:
Yearly: $40 (this fee runs until December 31st of a Calendar year. The exception is 2011, the fee will cover you until December 31, 2012)
Your first weekend event: $10.00 Each player at a weekend event must purchase at least a weekend membership. This is for our insurance (although you sign a waiver for playing we still have to carry insurance just in case). If you decide to become a full member, this initial membership fee will be deducted from your yearly membership.
Things you will need
Waiver, Consent and Medical information.
Before you can step IG we require every participant (PC and NPC, even Logistics crew) to sign a Waiver of Liability and Medical Information. The Waiver is, well, a waiver that when you are participating in our events that should something happen to you, Alliance Calgary LARP and everyone associated with it (even the event site) cannot be sued for damages. The medical portion is things such as allergies, Emergency Contacts should you be injured and we need call someone etc. If you can download, print and sign this before you come out that would be fantastic and save you (and us) a lot of time at Logistics.
